Valhalla St John ("we") runs valhallastjohn.com for our villa in Catherineberg, St. John, US Virgin Islands. This page explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Messages you send us. When you use the contact form or email valhallastjohn@gmail.com, we receive your name, email, phone number, travel dates and anything else you choose to write. We use this only to answer you and plan your stay.
- Bookings. Our booking calendar and checkout are run by Lodgify (checkout.lodgify.com). When you book, Lodgify collects your booking and payment details under its own privacy policy, and it sets its own cookies. We receive your booking details from Lodgify so we can host you.
- Website analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are read and whether people reach the booking calendar. It uses cookies and collects information such as your device, browser, approximate location and the pages you visit. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not sell your data.
- Videos. Our villa tour embeds YouTube videos, and YouTube may set cookies when you play one.
- Referral links. If a travel advisor sent you to us, the link may carry a tracking code so we can credit the advisor for your booking.
Your choices
- Visitors in the EU, UK and Switzerland see a cookie banner, and analytics cookies stay off unless you accept. You can change your choice at any time using "Cookie settings" in the footer.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

How long we keep data: we keep guest correspondence and booking records as long as we need them for your stay, for tax and accounting, and to welcome you back. Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
